I often have to go up to ISO 12800 and still get very useful images. ShotPro is used by top level productions, schools, indie groups and individuals. I do mostly live action dance which is often very fast in very low light and have settled on a combination of Nikon D810 / D750 as my bodys of choice. Even something like a used Nikon D700 would buy you a couple of stops. If so your only step forward is to move to a system that has less noise. You didn't mention trying to reduce noise in Lightroom so I assume that hasn't been helpful. That way, images where the extra sensitivity isn't needed won't be so noisy.
